I just installed a Linksys wireless-G PCI Adapter to my new Gateway GM5442 with Vista. Our wireless router is also a Linksys Wireless-G .
I followed the instructions and it works great. Later I noticed one of the papers said not to follow the wizard but to download drivers for vista and then install the adapter. I downloaded the drivers and turned off the pc , removed and then reattached the antenna and restarted the pc .
Since I didnt follow the instructions exactly and remove the card , wil I have problems with my pc ? Seems to be working great. Noticed that the signal strenth is only 3 bars/Good but I am 3 rooms away and the pc is under my desk.
