linux based mac

hello new 2 this site. I have a Apple Mac Pro Two 2.26GHz Quad-Core Intel® Xeon®, 8GB (4X2GB), 3TB (3x1TB) 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s, 2 EVGA GeForce GTX graphics cards, 2 18x SuperDrive, OS X 10.5, Leopard. I am wanting to know if i would be able to have it run dual OP systems like OS X 10.5 Leopard and Linux. I use it for video and picture editing, audio editing, and more.
 
Why exactly would you want to run Linux? Most *nix apps will work with the x11 tools installed and many have been ported to OS X.
