Linux dual boot?

ok i really need help. i installed ubuntu. and when my computer starts it gives me the options:

ubuntu
ubuntu (recovery mode)
memtest
xp

or something, ill worry about fixing that up later,

it wont load xp. i selecet it on the list and it says something in the top left corner (i cant remember what) but it never goes any further.

might i have erased xp when i created the partition for ubuntu?

well, at first i have the same problem with yours and later on i found out that the way i installed was wrong. anyway, go into ur bios and change ur boot device priority to go into XP.

no. should i have?

During the partition stage on installing Ubuntu, you may have wiped your XP partition w/o realizing it. If that's the case, you'll need to reinstall XP, then Ubuntu again.

It will actually be much smoother if we chat via IM to fix the problem. I'm PMing you with my AIM contact info if you'd like to contact me directly.
