Actually, there is plenty more to say about this. I'm just wondering, see I love the idea that linux is free to use, edit, and redistribute. But however, I hate it how I can't just plug in a driver cd and use a new camera or printer. And even if I can find a download for a driver, I can't just double click it and install it, no no no I have to type a shit load of commands in a command prompt to get it working and an hour and a half later you have people saying oh yes linux is so much better. But wheres photoshop (cs3 preferably?) not gimp, where ms office 2007 (not open office), wheres autocad and all the games. Wheres visual studio and no i dont mean ...well whatever you guys use but hey, i love intelisense. Wheres encarta encyclopedia, or quicken... not gnucash or whatever because they suck. wheres all the good stuff thats on windows and mac that linux doesnt have.
i hear people complaining all the time and they say out of all things linux is better but from what i see, linux doesnt do anything unless you spend an hour or two to get it to work, and even then it doenst do exactly what you want.
help lol, i want it, something draws me too it. I want to be a linux kid for some reason. but it doesnt have everything that windows does and that creates a gap that i can't quite jump over unless i want to fall into this giant "no operating system" hell lol.
