Linux in Xp

Hai all

i'm a newbie.i've a Xp running mechine.can i load linux in it.please guide me what i to do..

Wubi has been known for it's instability, I've seen numerous people on other forums complaining that it somehow breaks your system (OS).
Apart from that i would recommend VMWARE only if you have the money or VIrtualBOX which is free.
Those are called Virtualization product
 
Ohh yeah Vmware Workstation baby!! Works great here. Im running XP and a couple of Linux Versions inside of Vista.

I just downloaded kubuntu-kde4-8.04-desktop-i386.iso, is it good ..without having any conflict....& Do i've to run the Live cd from the Xp and install ..Please guide me

Kubuntu is ok, you will have to edit your Virtual machine's settings.
Set it to boot from CD, then browse for the ISO, apply changes.
run it inside your VM not XP

I'm just trying to download Sun xVM VirtualBox 1.6..
in the middle it's asking to select platform.which one Do i've to select ..I'm using XP sp2..and i need to install Linux ...please help me

yes run the setup you've downloaded, am pretty sure the program will guide you through with a wizard or something. kubuntu must be ran from inside the program when done setting up
