Linux Install, please help

I've tried 3 different Linux's - Red Hat, Suse, and Mandrake. I can't get any of them to install. Why!? I've installed the Mandrake on an Intel platform successfully before. I Dl'ed the Red Hat version for an AMD but it won't load. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I copied the ISO's over to a disk and it tells me "Error loading operating system" at start up. So I figured maybe i'm not supposed to burn the ISO but burn the contents, so I busted the ISO and copied the files over to a disk. Same problem. What am I doing wrong? Please help.

well, i've done it many different ways (well, tried).

I tried to burn it as an image with raxio by selecting the image file as the source and the disk as the destination and i keep getting an error :

"E: Memorex DVD16+/DL4RW|D2 ("Invalid field in parameter list."[05/26/00])"

I've tried to mount the image and use the mounted drive as the source, but raxio won't recognize the file as an image file to be used for "copy disc"

I've tried copying just the image file - as a file. That gives me the "Error in loading OS" at start up.

I've tried busting the ISO file up and copying each individual file to a disk and get the same error.

If I had to guess, I'd say that im not burning the file correctly, and the only way to do it is the way that roxio won't allow me to do.

ok, i got it now. the problem was with roxio. i had to use nero (god i hate nero) and it works fine. thanks
