It's been a long time since i have used linux (i never was too advanced but could work my way around it) well i put linux on my computer (i have dual boot, one partition is for linux (mint) and one is for windows xp).
anyways, i bought a Usb flash drive today. i tried to plug it in today and it said
"unable to mount GS drive"
"Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 1: helper failed with:
mount: only root can mount /dev/sdb1 on /media/windows partition
" (i was doing it on my Linux partition)
so i logged in as root and tried it again,i forgot how to mount it (its not being very nice). there is nothing on the flash drive yet
can someone please explain step by step on how to mount it. im also buying and external hard drive tommorrow, and hoping im not going to have the same problem with it
(i want to pull all my music, movies and pictures off my hard drive and put it on my external so that i can access it though either OS
thanks for your help guys
