hi guys i just downloaded linux knoppix v4.0.2 dvd

just wondering what software i would use to put it onto dvd disk, trying linux for first time so i am gonna put it on spare drive and give it a try

p.s could you also give me your views on this version
 
I assume it's an .iso

Just about any CD / DVD burning program should do. Just remember that you need to look for the option that says "burn as DVD image" or something very similar. If you try and burn it normally then it won't work.
 
Knoppix Live for dvd/cd is often the recommended live distro for file recovery off of both Linux and Windows systems when a drive becomes inaccessible. For a period of time it had the easiest gui for a "newbie" to start off with. Plus being a live distro it was a self contained OS on disk. Nothing was installed to the hard drive.
