Linux on a Portable Hard drive

I was just wondering if it was possible to install Linux on a portable 40GB pocket hard drive. If anyone knows, please tell me.

What you mean via usb or someing?

Yes its possible, but if you want to boot it you will have to configure all the BIOSs you attach the drive to.

all are possible on linux, you can boot though all devices.

please, check on www.linux.org the you can searching the linux type and you will find the links and try to find it.
