Linux on a USB HD

I would like to install SUSe Linux HD and set it up so that I can use it on different computers. How would go about do that :confused:
 
i have never done this, but i can offer some advice that seem to work in theory. First ensure that the USB device can be made bootable. You can do this by checking your bios settings. If it can, make it your first booth device. To ensure that you don’t mess up your hard drives, you should not only disable them but also disconnect them for safety. After this the process is as usual – pop the CD/DVD in and reboot.

EDIT - sorry , the CD/DVD rom should be your first boot device, just ensure the usb device is bootable.
