Gentlemen,

I just installed Ubuntu 10.10 and appears to be a very nice os. Found my printers and usb wireless no sweat. Maybe it is ready for prime time. Anyone have any thoughts on all aspects of security.

Seems like it ought to be almost bulletproof, security wise. I almost visualize a virus biting linux and spitting out the horrible tasting thing.

Any thoughts here will be very much appreciated.

Hey Ken pretty much linux based OS's do not require any form of antivirus protection as such a minimal amount of people use them. Therefore it wouldn't be worth programming a virus for a linux based OS over Microsoft based Operating Systems who have domination of something like 92% + of computer users. :P lol. This is not to say there aren't any linux based viruses out there they just aren't what we are use to see from windows viruses.
