Is there a version of linux that is all ready "set up"? meaning that the flashplayers are allready to go and you dont have to manually do it. stuff like that. im very new to this so thanks in advance!
Well, I would suggest ubuntu. It's the simplest distribution and has basically everything you need preinstalled. It's more for those who are just learning linux really.
I just installed linux suse 11.1. All automatic, it even loaded my sound card where vista had failed in an earlier loading. very easy, required less input than XP or Vista. also loaded a lot of free software such as open office suite, firewall, anti malware and a host of other features. wizard helps with internet connection. it's come a long way.
Linux Mint. It comes with tons of codecs and all the other stuff, it's based on Ubuntu and is basically a way sexed-up version of it. And also, since it's based on Ubuntu, the updates and all the other stuff is compatible, so you've got the support of one of the biggest Linux distros around...
