I am thinking about upgrading from my h60 to an H100. Before I get one I want to look into what I would need if I made a custom loop. I know absolutely nothing about it so help would be appreciated.

Here is what I want to do:

Just cool the CPU for now. I have the i7 at 1.35v

I would like to be able to add more cooling if I want.

I want the reservoir to mount in the drive bays.


So How much cooling do I really need with a setup like this? I want to keep it as low as possible without skimping on the parts.

I wouldn't recommend spending that money on the H100, you won't see all that much of a difference. Instead buy one of the custom loop packages, that will give you much better performance and take away the headache of choosing every part separately (and will cost about as much as H100 does).
