little squeal-like noises

I have little squealing like noises coming from my PC, when loading games like MoH the demo, at the loading screen I could just barely hear it. It didn't do this before my 8800GTX was installed. So I am thinking either the PSU is stressed or the video card is. What do you think? Anything in danger?

Thanks

If you have onboard video or an old Video adapter lying around try it out, You want to pinpoint what is making the sound.. If it's the GTX I might reckon it needs replacing, If a capacitor is blown.. I'm not sure if you could repair it yourself, but I've heard you can. Not worth it if you can just replace it for free though.

Yeah, I have used another card, when I had my old X1300PRO in before the GTX arrived, I didn't have this sound. Should I call EVGA?

Thx

Oh yeah, this squealing sound cannot be good, It's probably a loose cap or something. If It leaks it can compromise the entire card.

There was a very similar post made about the same time as this one ;)

his was suspected of HDD.... Different guy:P

Anyway, EVGA 8800 cards have a lifetime warranty as long as they're registered within 30 days of purchase, I just registered:) So, now I am covered, he said that's normal if it's not bothersome or within interference of other environment noise. He said they have looked at this problem and it's seems to be happening a lot but still is normal.... I love their tech support, Ils sont americain:cool:.
