:rolleyes:Hello from rainy France
I am running Windows XP SP2, I have recently installed an Orange 'Livebox' with unlimited national telephone calls. There are 2 telephone lines, one from the Livebox, the other on a land line, but I would like to use Skype for my international calls.
I have tried using Skype for the 1st time since the Livebox installation this morning, but it won't connect, how should the PC with a headset be connected , which plugs to use ? where? Or will I not be able to use Skype anymore
Thanks for any help

skype is used for internet, you can't use it as a telephone.

If you want to make calls to landlines, you have to buy skype credit.

It is free if you are calling a skype user.....

Also your headset would plug into the mic input, which would most likely be blue or red

Actually skype is used as internet. It allows users to make telephone calls over the Internet. Calls to other users of the service and to free of charge numbers are free, while calls to other landlines and mobile phones can be made for a fee. Additional features include instant messaging, file transfer and video conferencing.
