Right just opened up CPU Z and it says that my RAM stick in slot 1 is PC125 slot 2 is PC100; I don't know much about RAM but i'm guessing this is chid LMAO anyway if I bought a PC3200 would that be compatable with my PC?oh and both ram sticks are SDRAM

you could get PC Wizard as well. It's like CPU-Z but IMO, it's alot better. anyways, It would wise to have both sticks be the same speed and type and make sure your motherboard can handle whatever the amount of RAM your using.

You'll just have to research. Maybe search Google. Type in your motherboard make and model and somewhere there should be a site with all your motherboard specs.

Oh i'm running XP pro on 128MB it's annoying, possible to find a 528MB compatable with my computer?

128MB? Dang. You also mean 512MB. not 528MB. unless I missed something. I read somewhere that it takes at least 256MB of RAM to run XP efficiently....so like I said, buy a stick with the same speed and type as the one you already have.

i think he means one is sdram, and one is ddr sdram. theyre both sdram, however. one suggestion would be to change your theme. in the display settings, change it to windows classic: its a lot less ram intensive. and no, if you have pc 100 in there right now, you can not hold pc3200. the ram you have right now is 168-pin ram, while pc3200 will be 184-pin. my suggestion would be to get a new setup entirely, sdram is expensive, seeing as to how it is no longer mainstream.
