I am recently locking up in certain websites. One for example is the Dell website. I was in the site looking for desktops and was in the customize section. As I was going down to various parts of the computer, I would lock up at a certain point. I would get the hand symbol and not the arrow for my cursor. I would have to do ctr-alt-delete to get out of it. How do I correct this?
 
O and for your problem, was there anything special at this particular point on the site? like php, javascript, flash, shockwave, etc.
If so, try reinstalling the specific component of IE6 overall... I mean get firefox
