log on screen

wow it's been awhile since i have posted here (college started :( ) anyhow, i've been messing around with themes and such, trying to get windows to look like a mac (because I really like the look, but I want to keep the compatability of xp), and so far have been really successful. The one problem i have, however, is converting the log in screen. For some reason, my login screen looks just like the one on windows 2000, not at all like the welcome screen of xp... I don't know how I changed it, but i do remember it changing after I installed the netbios protocol. It has been way too long ago to simply do a system restore. I have also since uninstalled netbios and that doesn't fix it.

So my question is can anyone tell me how to change back to the original xp welcome screen?

thanks for any help
ryan

go download and install flyakiteosx 2.0( www.flyakiteosx.com)
you will see images of logons.. boot screens.. everything.. like a total package all in one program. good luck. post back if u have any questions.

yea.. all those seperate programs really sucks.. like u are using a million programs to make one look... not recommended.. ftry flyakiteosx.. tell me how you like it.

pretty much all you need is windowblinds and cursorxp.

as for the plain xp look he might be using the server version or he set his theme to classic.

i installed flyakiteosx... it works great, but i still like having object bar instead of the normal task bar. also, i still have the same problem with the logon screen, only now it has a mac picture instead of the windows xp pic, but it still is the old school login screen. as for having the server version of xp, nope... and my theme isn't the classic style either. I really don't know what could cause it, but i am sure it changed after i installed netbios.

what do you mean? i thought you wanted a a mac logon screen or something different... what do you mean the old school login screen?

username
password

??? that type where it prompts you? or do you mean the whole logon screen still classic looking?

ok... lol it's hard to explain... think of windows 2000 or 98 logon screens--that is what i'm getting... i'll try to remember and take a screenshot and post it tomorrow

um... i didn't know this but the print screen button won't copy a pic of the screen until your logged in... i'll have to dig out the digital camera later

mac osx gui

go to google and type in flyakite osx and download the gui files, make your windows look lika a mac completely even the welcome screen and the icons and your mouse best of all its free

omg, StasysPC. Are you stupid or sumthing? If uve got the old style login box asking for a username and password, just go to control panel > user accounts > change the way users log on or off and tick (check) the use the welcome screen option. Who duznt no that?

Are you planning on posting in the future? If so be nice and leave that jerk attitude for other forums.
