hi when i am not useing my computer my computer logsc off so if i am downloading it stops downloading can i stop it from doing it

Sounds like it is going into sleep mode. You might go to control panel and under power opitions look and see if you have everything set to never . This is on XP OS. This will keep you pc running all the time , then just use a screensaver when not in use.

Go to your computers power settings by going to Start > Control Panel > Power. Then disable the option that says to logoff or put in standby after a certain period of time.

sometimes your ethernet card goes to sleep too you need to disable that too.
