Hi . I Have A Bit Of A Problem With My Routers Login Page. The Problem Is When I Try To login It Won't Let Me I Then Went And Reset The Router Back To It's Factory Default Settings As Suggested On The Neatgear Website And Put In The Default Login And Password And It Still Won't Let Me Login At All. The Router Is A Netgear WNR3700 I Don't Know What To Do Now Can Someone Please Help.

Make sure the caps lock isn't on. If you truly did the hard reset then it should have set the password and login back to original. However, I had a client that had one of the newer linksys routers that wouldn't let me hard reset it, she had to rma it back to linksys for a different model. You may be in the same boat.

hi . thanks for the info yeh i did do the hard reset with the caps lock off and it didn't revert back to default settings for some strange reason it does look like i will have rma it back to netgear what a pain thanks again.

Did you hold the reset long enough? The instructions for another Netgear router I have say:

To restore the factory default configuration settings when you do not know the administration password or IP address, you must use the restore settings button on the rear panel of the router.
1. Press and hold the restore settings button for 10 seconds.
2. Release the restore settings button, and wait for the router to reboot.

I had to smile at your first post. In a world where few seem to know what a capital letter is, every word in your post started with one! It also sparked a thought that however you got the text that way, perhaps you've accidentally been doing the same thing with your login?
