try reinstalling the drivers

Have you made sure that the mouse is charged all the way? Shouldn't be a problem, but never know. Additionally, try to reset the connection between the receiver and the mouse.

usually the wireless mice come with place to put batteries in case ur charge dies out if urs does too then try putting batteries in it assuming its a problem with ur charge...lol or it could be as simple as a bad mousepad

Shouldn't matter on the mouse pad since it's a laser. Also make sure that there isn't any other programs that are soaking up CPU.

i just uninstalled the bundled software, and so far its been working fine... but now i cant use any of the extra buttons and features on the keyboard and mouse!
so frustrating!!

edit:
it still lags sometimes without the software installed

Also make sure that when you install the software that you don't have your AV running. This can always cause a program to behave strangely.

Does anyone else have this combo? does it give them the ****s? the software is very easy to use, but its not very reliable... anyone have any comments??

i have the same problem, i disabled everything in msconfig and it still happens im begining to think its and AMD thing, it worked fine on my P4 which was far inferior to the one i just built which is an AMD 3200+ clocked at 208 ddr400 1.5gig radeon 9600 160 gig hd and window xp pro set to best preformance:confused:

Well, the only other thing I can suggest is to return it and get another one, could be an issue with the unit, but doubtful.
