I just picked up a Logitech MX518 and it seems nice and all but I am kind of turned off by the odd bump on the right side of the mouse. My old mouse had no ridge like that.. and I developed the habit of using my ring finger and pinkie on the right side and my thumb on the left side to do most of the controlling of the mouse.
Its odd because it seems like this mouse is physically designed so that you have your pinkie on the right side and thumb on the left.. because the pinkie fits under the ridge so much better than the pinkie AND my ring finger. It feels comfortable when I hold the mouse this way.. but I cannot control it nearly as well.
My question is.. have any of you guys had this problem or noticed this? My ring finger is pushing up against a ridge that causes a sort of irritation against it because I guess thats not the way the mouse is designed to be held.
I know it sounds like over analyzing.. but when holding the mouse I noticed the discomfort in like half a second.. it is so obvious.
