Longest Battery Run time

man is it me or cohen a serious fan boy and very obvious what products he likes.. the guy said in his post PC so bringing a mac in is off topic.. My dell latitude d610 i have for work is 4 years old and will last up to 4 hours somedays depending on what i'm doing and what i have my settings on. My sony viao at hom lasts about 2 hours if i'm lucky although its like 5 years old and has been heavily used, and my dell xps m140 which is 2 and a half years old running vista business gets about 2 to 3 hours but its never had too battery life.. just depends on what you do and what you use...
 
The battery is very important, as are the power settings you have things set to. For example, I can choose whether or not the video card gets underclocked on battery power, which can get me up to 5 hours and something minutes on my battery. Disabling the bluetooth, wi-fi, and dimming the screen (to about half brightness) will bring my battery life up to about 6 hours.
