Look at this computer........

You can put 24gb of memory in pretty much any core i7 board out there if you get 4gb memory modules. 1TB hard drives have been out for awhile, and the cpu is just an i7 920. The gpu is only a gts250. Whats so special about it?

Agree with bomberbiysk, if you build the computer yourself, you can build much better one (maybe not with the 24GB thing but still)

it just supports 24gb which probably any i7 motherboard does. And I find it so gay that manufactures put odd numbers of ram into their computer, like why not put either 6gb or 12gb of ram, you just have to put 9gb.

Surprisingly good price, but there are a good few members on here that have rigs at LEAST as good. Either way, kind of a shock that HP actually put a GPU capable of playing games at settings above the atari 2600 inside any computer they offer:P Most of the time their higher end models just have RAM, storage or processor upgrades, with the occasional low-end GPU at the top. Not saying the GTS250 is top tier or anything, but its a far cry from bad.

What special??

A normal $1000-1100 self-build Core i7 920 machine would have the same spec.
Is it because HP did not overpricing that much for a gaming machine?

Not a bad price at all. But you may be able to build your own for around the same price, or a little more, with a better machine. With a monitor as well.

24GB of ram? Who needs a hard-drive!

I wonder how many people would ever need more than 4 GB of ram... What is
that demand, like 1 in 5 million people?
