After my dad had gotten me a car i didn't have to worry about getting enough money to drive to school. Now I'm serious about getting enough money to build my dream machine. I'm look for a real good mobo. I prefer an Intel one, dual sockets and SLI capable. Can you guys gimme your best mobos that ya'll can think of?

thx

That's about the best I can find for an Intel

You do realize that games are not written for dual core systems.... You won't find much that uses multiple processors outside of server apps and some high end 3D rendering/Visualization programs. Also running two 2.5 GHz chips does not equal 5 GHz.....it just doubles your processing bandwidth....well it would if the Pentium boards didn't use a shared FSB like the Athlon boards.

Anyway, just stick to a fast single processor, you will never notice the difference. I highly recomend any board made by Asus with the NForce chip set. I think they are up to revision 4 if I'm not mistaken.

I agree but i have a sneaking suspcision that GamerGuy8899 has a consumer board in mind ;) (even if not ... the board you picked out lacks SLI :P) Now as for consumer class boards, have a look at the ASUS P5N32SLI DLX

Granted they might not be written for dualcore boxes however heavily multithreaded games do exist, some quick examples are Bionicle, Perimeter, Colin McRae Rally4
