I am looking for a different AntiVirus Program and would like to know which is the best one out there. I have looked at AVG, AVAST, VIPRE and I just had NORTON and I would like to know which one is the very best one?

Also is it safe to go with a FREE AntiVirus Program?

Out of the ones that I have chosen which one does the most for your dollar?

Are they ALL the same and do they do they give you the same protection?

I am looking at there best package.

Use the free version of Avast.

When I go to download it it brings up a window that ask to save it or cancel it never brings up a window to run it. Is there something wrong with my computer?

I have a HP Computer with Windows 7 on it.

I am using Firefox because I had so much trouble with Internet Explorer.

When I save it I have NO ideal where it goes.

You may ask me why I dropped NORTON'S , it was because I had Centurylink Rescue and it was not doing me any good and NORTON came with it.

Would you take the computer to a Computer shop and have them completely go over it?

I have been having trouble with it and I have to shut it down and than restart it again, I had Centurylink Rescue check it out and they could not find anything wrong with it. So I feel that it was a wast of money to have them.

By default, Firefox saves downloads to the downloads folder of your user.

You can change this by going in the options and select the button "Always ask me where to save files".

Can you walk me through this?

I only use the computer other than that I know nothing about the operation and how to get into the stiff.

When in Firefox, click on the Firefox logo at the top left, then click options. The General tab is already open. The downloads section is at the bottom.

What OS are you running,Plus how much ram do you have? If running XP and ram is low, then Comodo or Kingsoft Antivirus....If running Windows 7 or 8 and allot of ram then Avast or Avg or Avira will work..
