looking for a gaming conputer with 200pound budget???

hi all im looking to buy a gaming pc i live in u.k i only have a 200 pound budget to play all the latest games the graffics card don't matter so much as i can upgrade that at a later date will be running windows 7 along side it been looking on eBay? just wondered if anyone has any recommendations?intel or amd dont reli mind but would prefer intel many thanks...

Keep saving your money, your not going to be happy with your 'Gaming PC' if you only spend £200 on it, even with buying the graphics card later.
 
You are looking to buy a computer that plays the latest games but the graphics card don't matter to you? That doesn't make sense... FYI, that's the most important part of any gaming computer...
 
Okay, how much is your total budget? As in, if you saved all the money you wanted, how much would you have for the computer?
 
look at the system in my sig.

That is ~£500 new and plays games on medium-high. With an extra £100 and selling the graphics card (So ~ extra £150) I'd be able to get a new graphics card and have all on full.

To make it able to play all games on full, it will be at the least £600

to be able to play any on medium, £450

How much time would elapse between purchasing the core PC and then the video card? Buying components piecemeal will usually end up costing you more for out of date parts by the time your system is complete.

Also, don't use "minimum requirements" to play a game as the base spec for a gaming machine. While £200 is entry level into modern computers, it will leave something to be desired for performance. You would be better served (and most likely happier) by saving a few months more or using that money towards a console system to suit your gaming fix.

I post over at OcUK sometimes too, and someone there put it rather well once when someone was moaning about memory prices.

He said around £100 for each major component seems reasonable to me.

You look at the components there, not one of them hits £100 and the power supply doesn't even exist

Really, that parts list you wrote up isn't bad for a starter machine. Granted that list still comes out a bit more than £200, but not much. Plenty of room to upgrade later if you wish, and only add another £80-120 for a decent low-mid GPU. ~£350 seems to be about the realistic target price for a starter gaming PC.
 
The better option for you to buy video games instead of video game PC. Your budget is very low for high resolution computer games. Better option save money or buy any other video games.

you are fogetting power supply there too you know.

If you drop the CPU down to a x3 (this one to be precise):

I managed to make my 750W (seven-hundred and fifty) case power supply blow from having 2x8600GT in SLI, and they draw naff all really, so a 450W case one ust about certainly wouldn't lol :P
