Looking for a hard drive for my CPU/Motherboard

I'm looking for a hard drive (s) that has storage between 500~1 TB (more is ok) and is relatively fast. I'll be using it with a Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80601920 and EVGA 132-BL-E758-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard. I also need to know which raid. Feel free to post your builds if you have something similar that worked. Thanks so much.
 
how much HDD space are you exactly after? the performance difference between each new 7,200rpm HDD's aren't much difference that you'll prob notice the difference .. I'd say buy a 10,000 RPM or 15,000RPM HDD for your OS and software or a SSD if its within your budget, in terms of RAID setup if your after performance RAID0, RAID1+0 or RAID5 depending on your use
 
I'd like at least 1 TB of space. I'm thinking about getting 2 Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM and setting 1 to RAID1 and the other to RAID0. Does that look like it will work? Someone else suggested setting both to RAID1.
