Looking For Advice for a Temporary Video Upgrade

It will be another year or so before I'll consider picking up a new machine, but right now I'm using a Radeon All-in-Wonder 9600XT on a P4 3.0 gHz and 1GB of RAM (got it two years ago). I'm looking for a new temporary AGP (unfortunately) card so that I can enjoy World of Warcraft graphics as much as possible. I'm not sure if it runs on OpenGL or 3D or whatever, so I'm not sure what video card will give me the greatest improvement in performance. Any recommendations are appreciated. Right now I'm looking at the BFG GeForce 7600 GS OC / 512MB, but I'm not sure if I need that 512 for a game like WoW.

whats is your budget ??

The 512MB memory doesn't improve performance a lot, so there isn't any big difference between 512MB 7600GS and 256MB 7600GS

Get one of these card, and you will be able to play WOW at high setting

definetly go with the x800gto as it is better than the 7600gs.

I would check ebay or check the For Sale thread here. There are several cards better than that for sale here on CF.

I have 1.5 Gb RAM atm.. and when playing WoW its used for 95%.
that pc, and a 7600GS would be enough to run WoW maxed out i think. the 7600GS wouldnt even be fully utilized either tbh

I have my settings maxed out on WoW with my 7600GS and I get about 40 fps, but if you want to play WoW flawlessly, you should get some more ram
