Looking for advice on building computer

Hey guys, I am looking to build a computer for 3D graphics and occasional gaming. I am new to building computers so I figured this would be a good place to start. Looking for something that can handle running programs such as Maya, Photoshop, zbrush with ease. My budget is around 1500-2000. I suppose that the video card is the main thing that I'm worried about messing up, there seems to be so many types and I am totally oblivious to what some of the specs mean. Any advice or recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
