looking for data collection software

hi

im looking for software which can scan entire websites, including giant message boards, to extract certain text, image, and video data, based on certain parameters that i can define

i have little computer knowledge so please dont reply with advanced tech jargon

I appreciate your suggestion. However I am looking for a real piece of software, not a firefox plugin. I wouldnt even know how to begin searching for one if I tried (I'm not going to).

I don't know if I've come to the wrong forum or not. Computerforum.com sounded pretty promising to me. If anyone can help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it, this is actually quite important to me, which is why I've went out of my way to create an account and this thread.
