Hi,
Recently, I got an old DVD+-RW Dual-Layer Litescribe drive from someone I know. He got it replaced with a new one under his warrenty because it was working very intermittently on his computer apparently. I plugged into mine and so far it works fine. I have burned a few CDs with it.
Anyways, for some reason, when I put a DVD-R in, it wouldn't read it. When I installed this drive, I just plugged it into the IDE cable, rebooted, and let Windows install it automatically. Considering that this drive has Litescribe support, I would assume there is a special firmware or software for it?
Could someone please point me where I can get this firmware or software so I can burn DVDs? It appears as a DVD-Ram Drive under Windows and more specifically as: HP DVD Writer 840x.
Thanks!
