Hello everyone,

im piecing together my new server, this is my 3rd server build this one consists of an intel extended atx dual cpu motherboard

the motherboard is 12"x13" it does not fit in a standard ATX case, nor will it fit in my current Mid-ATX case,

so basically im looking for a nice case to put this in, its going to sit on a shelf in my basement, not in a rack, so im looking for a case i can lay down horizontally. i also want the drive bays to be horizontal, something like an HTPC case, im not looking to spend a lot on this case, its not gonna be seen by anyone its going to sit on a shelf for most of its life.

this is the only thing i need to complete the server, i have 2 xeons, 2 coolers, plenty of mixed size fans, a 750w psu 500g hdd dvd etc. just need a case to get this thing cranking

if anyone has any recommendations on what to use, fire away.

Close,

i originally bought a Coolermaster 360 Elite. It houses a standard atx mb fine, but not an EATX. I bought this case thinking it would fit only because the paperwork i got with the server says it fits in most standard atx cases. this case i got is about 2" too short, so now that i have a fully loaded case but no m/b to fit, im gonna keep this case for an htpc.

i like the design of the coolermaster and if i could find that in a server chassis that would be perfect
i just dont want to spend the 150$ most companies are asking. the coolermaster was 40$ on sale

looking on newegg....but could be wrong, but looks like its going to cost you in upwards of 150 for a reasonable case...

Well, i'm not sure if this is going to meet your requirements but i have two used Dell PowerEdge 2400 and Dell PowerEdge 1600SC that i'm parting out. I can sell you the cases cheap. Not sure if you want a used one or a new one. Just wanted to let you know. They are both servers and the cases seem to be pretty big. :)
