Looking for gaming laptop

Now that my IRS refund is inbound, I'm in the market for a 'budget' gaming laptop for those long and slow 24 hour shifts at work. My budget is $1300-1400. I currently play WoW and CoD:BO. After exhausting myself in research, I've all but settled on the ASUS G73JW-XR1 (http://www.xoticpc.com/asus-g73jwxr1-p-2931.html). The price fits my budget and it sports a 1920x1080 17" screen, Core i7, Geforce GTX 460m and 6 gigs of RAM. This is roughly what my current desktop specs are and I think it should carry me through the year and hopefully well into next. Now, my questions; is there anything else out there that I should consider? Something less expensive with similar or better specs?

Thats one of the best Gaming laptop, G53Jw also has almost the same specs, but considering gaming you should get the 17 inch G73Jw.
If you want a bit higher specs then get the G73Sw having i7- 2630M.

I agree the SW is nicer but out of budget. I do not see very big difference in gaming since GPU is more important and the 740QM is a good CPU.

I have a different version G73 but I really like it. I like the build the feel the look. And the backlit keyboard is so nice in the dark.

I say go for it.

Have you looked at the NP8150 NP8130? Both those are in budget and get you the 2630QM. The 17" version should be out soon and that might almost be in budget. The GPU will be upgradable. So later if you have $400 you can put the 485m in?

Edit NP8170 is already out it is 17".

Thanks guys! This is exactly what I wanted to hear! I'm not too worried about the CPU for gaming, the i7 740QM will definitely be more than enough.
