Looking for Good Video Editing Software.

Me and my friend are planning on doing Video Game Reviews, Lets Plays, Ect.. ect...
But the 1 thing we are lacking is some Video Editing software.

We need something that doesnt cost an Arm and a leg to get.
as well as being able to deal with .avi files that Frapps creates as well as deal with raidcall's .mp3 recordings.

But I dont see it mention anywhere about .avi file compatibility.
Ive used soundforge long ago and know it works with mp3 format.

Unless you guys have better alternative programs that do work with the 2 formats.

Windows movie maker is also free and pretty good for basic use

Dvd styler looks like its suited for making DVDs, I intend to upload to Youtube.

Ive done windows Movie maker before and a few times the colors were terribly off. Plus last time I used it (year or 2 ago) Im not sure if its capable of mixing Audio files with Movie files. Plus I would need the program to give me Audio editing software as well.

I might consider Cyberlink.
