Looking for NAS enclosure

I'm looking for a NAS enclosure for 3.5 inch drives with either usb 2.0 or 3.0 or 1394 I want this enclosure to be able to hold 3 or more drives.

What are your impressions on the Drobo or the MediaSonic? Is it worth the investment?
