Looking for new LCD TV

Firstly, I wasn't sure if I should put this in the monitor section or another section, but I figured this was most appropriate. If a mod wants to move it, feel free.

We're looking into a new TV for the kitchen...we're thinking 32" (LCD). I'm thinking we're going to get this one: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?Item=N82E16889022022

If anyone knows of a cheaper 32" that has a decent contrast resolution (like, not below 1400:1, the Olevia has 1600:1). We're also looking for a mounting bracket...it needs to have a swivel arm, we're looking at this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16882680015 or this one: http://www.etvmount.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_id=50,although we're still looking. It doesn't matter where we buy from, it doesn't have to be Newegg.

Thanks for your help.

How much does it cost? I'm looking for something cheap, the Olevia is $580 on Newegg (including shipping). That's the cheapest I've found for a 32", nevertheless one with ai 1600:1 contrast ratio.

Gee you must be really rich, a LCD for the Kitchen?!?!? You know you will have to cover it will, because if you just going to leave it out in the kitchen, all these gunk and grease will collect both outside and inside the TV.

Here's a vizio from tigerdirect for $450 plus shipping. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2978653&CatId=386 or for $400 another 32" Vizio http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2509770&CatId=386

They're both refurbished, Idk if you have a problem with that.

I don't know how those are better than the Olevia...the Olevia isn't refurbished, and has a higher contrast ratio.

And elitehacker, I'm not rich...what's so unreasonable about putting an LCD where 2 out of 3 people who live here spend the majority of their time? And seeing as our present TV doesn't have any buildup of grease, etc on it, I don't see how the new one will.

LOL, I don't spend more than 30 minutes in the kitchen a day, its go in, get what I want and come out!!! TVs in kitchens is still in the realm of the rich and famous here in Australia. :D:D:D Not to mention a whopping 32" one!!!!

Well, our kitchen is also the eating area, and my mom does all her school work on the table. My dad also works on the the computer in the room next to the kitchen, and keeps the doors open. I'm the only one who works upstairs...

Anyway, I've found the same TV and mount at MacMall.com cheaper, and free shipping. However, I'm not sure that the mount will extend far enough past the cabinets- we want it to swivel so it can point towards the work area, or towards the table. Does anyone else have recommendations for swivel arm mounts?

Well I figured since it's for you kitchen you wouldn't need a "high-end" tv, just trying to save you some money.
