looking for new monitor at bestbuy

Had a Samsung Syncmaster 245BW. Took a dump and now ready to goto bestbuy for one.
Looking for recommendations. Don't game. Watch tv news etc. watch a lot of video.
Price range 300-350. The one i had is a 24". Want a little bigger.

Got a Asus MX279 for $259.00. Question is should I hook up with hdmi or dvi. Or will there
be a difference in resolution. Which one is best.

You won't notice much difference but I'd do HDMI if you can.

Depends on resolution, just go with HDMI. DVI has some single or dual link shenanigans you can avoid by just going hdmi
