Looking for some free editing software

I need to resize my pictures for craigslist, thats the only reason i can see that they keep getting deleted. so is there any good free software i can use to just make my pictures smaller?

Powertoys image resizer
sweet......you can highlight hundreds for email or
what ever. all done in one swoop.

just goto explorer and highlight the ones ya want to resize.
right click and pick the size. it will leave your orginals there and
rename the other smaller ones.
