Looking for the best ISA modem?

Hi:

I have Intel Pentium P4 3.06 GHz CPU in a SOYO SY-P4I845GVISA Plus motherboard. My OS is Windows 98SE. My motherboard has 3 ISA slots. I'm looking for an ISA dial-up modem that:

1. Has the most features

2. Is the fastest of it's type

3. Is plug-and-play

4. Is compatible with the OS, MoBo, and CPU

5. Is controller-based

Here is the definition of "controller-based": http://www.usr.com/education/modem2.asp

Can anyone suggest an ISA dial-up modem card that would best suit me?

Thanks a bunch,

I think you will be out of luck finding an ISA modem. That motherboard has 4 PCI slots which will hold a PCI modem though.

I already have PCI modem but my comp refuses to detect it no matter what I do. So I give up on it. It works perfectly with my SoundBlaster 16 ISA card so I figure it will work with an ISA modem.

i believe anything pci and isa will be winmodems and softmodems. you would need to find an external model for it to be controller based.

newegg still has a few models that you connect via serial port.
