Here is another discussion that happened about your same situation.

With a Q6600 and an 8800GT...I would recommend a nice 450w to 550w PSU. I am not exactly sure what is the best store to buy from in the UK...you do live in UK right? I did a little looking around and found this PSU. It is more than capable or running your computer and the price is good. It has modular cables and it's a great name brand.

hi m8
try these to calculate the psu you need then add an extra 100w to it for safety
http://educations.newegg.com/tool/psucalc/index.html or
http://support.asus.com/PowerSupplyCalculator/PSCalculator.aspx?SLanguage=en-us prob best if in uk
and just for ref
i would suggest buying a branded psu
not a generic one
Try these sites when youve decided on wattage required

corsair probably make some of the best PSUs around...

Kornowski runs this system with a Corsair HX520 (520W)

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.4Ghz
EVGA 750i SLI FTW
4GB Crucial Ballistix @ 850MHz
2 X 8800GTS G92 in SLI @ 765/1946/1000
Corsair HX520W
Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200.11 & WD 120GB
Tuniq Tower LED (Idle: 23c - Load: 38c)
OCZ XTC RAM Cooler

Yes, thats 2 8800GTS in SLI...

So corsairs give very good quality.

Now here is a PSU that will work, and give you a lot of headroom (you can take it to your next computer, upgrade GFX card whatever...)
Corsair TX650
