Well within my budget.

This excludes any monitors, OS, mice,keyboard etc.

Is there anything I am overlooking? Such as compatibility?

Any suggestions you think I should consider?

If you will going to overclock the motherboard you should buy a cooling system. Here's some example of cooling system http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHT8tuQAE8k but it will cost a lot of money, However if you can afford it your computer will be awesome.

Get phenom IIx 6 or 955 and OC yourself

With AMD870, you probably won't crossfire, and thus, don't waste money on 850W PSU.
you should choose 890gx or 890fx for crossfire

HAF 932 is full tower, I don't see the need of that... May be HAF 922??

Like said. Get a 955 and just overclock it. Get a 6950 or 6970 instead of a 5870. Drop the Roadkill power supply. Get a 750W Seasonic/XFX/Silverstone or Antec

I only chose the full size tower because people were saying the GPU was rather large. And No, I don't plan on crossfiring. Some of the older games I enjoy(everquest 2) don't take advtanage of that. So I'd rather have one powerful one.

Also I do plan on overclocking. but only want a quad core. Is there a reason to go with the 955 over the 970? does it overclock better?
