Looking to build a kind of computer

So it just came to me that I should build me a small computer to store all my music in. My laptop is my main storage for music and the hdd is only 70gb and right now I am left with 5.7mb left on the hdd and only thing I pretty much have on my laptop is my music. So it came to me I should make a computer just dedicated for all my music. So what is a simple computer to build? I don't plan on using it for anything else but plugging in my ipod for syncing music, run itunesm and getting on the internet.

Something in the $200 range or less? I don't want another laptop.
 
I'm sure your system would run a lot better with more HDD space (come on man), although being old enough with only an 80 GB hard drive it's probably a slug to begin with.

Personally it'd be a lot cheaper to just get a flash drive or something.
 
If your router has the capability, you could plug a USB drive into your router and use it like a poor man's NAS to store your music and double as a media server. The advantage is that you wouldn't need to constantly plug/unplug an external drive into your laptop and it would also be available for other devices on your network (a phone or tablet for instance) to use.
