Looking to buy new laptop

I’m looking to purchase my first laptop as I want to go wireless around the house. I’m not a gamer. I will be surfing the net and doing basic computing and some picture storing. Just would like your thoughts on this computer. I have also look at the dell e1505. Not sure which one to go with.

Thats is 1 cracking laptop really high spec, But if all you say your going to use it for is basic surfing then you dont need such a high spec and could save a hell of a lot of money

i agree you only need 1g of memory and could do without the c2d

Small, simple, and to the point. Nothing extra (as you say you won't need) and for 630$ it's a laptop that has wireless, will go anywhere, and even has a 5 in 1 card reader and a DVD-RW drive. The hard drive can always be upgraded and the operating system can always be downgraded (back to XP if you ask me). And it is nearly half the price of the system you posted above and will get the job done just as well as that one will.
