Looking to get a new laptop

I'm a business student who will be going into programming and I need a reliable and powerful laptop for programming and other school work and yeah maybe some gaming. The last two laptops I had died after two years :( I'm looking for a midsize laptop or an ultra book. Anything under $1500 will work but I'm willing to go over that if it'll last me a while.

I was thinking of getting a mac book and running windows on it, but my school computers are not compatible with macs. Will that change if I run windows on a mac and are there any down sides to running windows on a mac?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :good:

You can run Windows on a Mac very successfully, because at the hardware level, they are very similar to PC laptops. The only downside is that your MacBook will be slower running Windows then macOS.

Because on hardware level those are the same as PCs, you will not have problems with compatibility.
