Looking to pick up a new laptop for around $300-$600

Im not 100% positive its the best in that range,I think it is.But that is a good deal!I would probably get it if I had the funds.Next laptop I get,I want it to be a MSI,asus,or alienware.

I do not really care for acer but Lenovo I hear is good but I also hear that is only for there thinkpads. I hear on this forum the rest are garbage but don't know if there is any truth to it due to the fact very rarely do I see Lenovo users on hear making complaints of hardware issues unless it is 5+ years old.

I don't know much about Lenovo either actually. I did check their site and their thinkpads seem a bit higher up than I can spend for now. Maybe it costs more to have it customized than it does to buy secondhand from a distributor like newegg? Also, is it a good idea to shop ebay for better deals?

I know I saw a Lenovo thinkpad with the i5 in office depot the other day for $599. I don't know about buying electronics off ebay. I have bought guitars off there and have had some luck. If I was to buy a computer online I would stick with newegg or amazon. What did you think of the models I showed you?

I would definitely recommend buying an HP and that is a very overpriced laptop, i wouldn't recommend buying from ebay. circuit city has good prices you might want to sign up for their emails if your not needing it immediately.

Yeah well I just asked a question about Hp quality and as I have seen since I have been a member Hp build quality has always been of a lower end. I know the feeling, I have even looked at Hp and there prices are amazing and you have to ask yourself why are they so good? Haven't you ever noticed that the most highly rated computers such as Asus, Sony, Samsung and Lenovo are more expensive but last twice if not three times as long.

The first one you posted looks excellent except for the rpm speed of the hard drive, and the mhz rating of the ram. Could I change the hd to a 7200rpm, and the ram to 1333mhz later on? I'm probably doing too much wishful thinking here, but is the gpu upgradeable? Not that I have a problem with the one it comes with as the card like a good one, I just wondered what all I could upgrade. More or less it does look good the way it is now. Looks top aside from that, my only other concern is heat(although I do plan on getting some sort of cooler) and the reputation of company.

What about this one? Are amd cpu's and gpu's good in the laptop realm?

For the price that has a decent gpu and the cpu is pretty nice. To answer your question you always upgrade your computer at a later date. The HDD is a possible upgrade but I do not think the Mhz on the memory is upgradeable and I have heard of cpu upgrades but it is challenging due to the fact of finding out what socket your is and then finding the cpu.
