Looking to upgrade motherboard, Need help.

Hello! A couple months back I purchased a new graphics card for my pc, and am now looking to upgrade the motherboard along with it. Im not a good computer hardware kind of guy, and have a few questions about upgrading. My PC specs are:

Processor: AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor
Manufacturer AMD
Speed 3.8 GHz
Number of Cores 4
Video Card: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series
Manufacturer ATI
Chipset AMD Radeon R9 200 Series
Dedicated Memory 4.1 GB
Total Memory 4.0 GB
Memory 8.2 GB

With these specs, should I even upgrade the motherboard? I bought the PC as a $550 cheap gaming computer that had a terrible graphics card in it, which is why I purchased the AMD graphics card, and was wondering if I should buy a new motherboard to go along with it, making it run smoother?

What specific board do you have now?

Also keep in mind that going FX-4300 ->FM2+ really doesn't give you any noticeable benefit for performance.

The motherboard I have is a MSI 760GM-P34 (FX) and graphics card is XFX AMD Radeon Double D R9 270X 2GB Graphics Card - 2GB DDR5, Dual Fan Cooling System, PCIe 3.0 - R9-270X-CDJV.
