For a PC box 2gig dual core min., decent video card, proper cooling, 1 gig memory min., 160 gig hardrive; some graphics and video editing (have been told Mac is a must) Windows XP wish to avoid Vista.
 
I think he meant 2GHz processor... Eh, but I don't feel like explain how GHz really means squat anymore :P

If you really want a mac, get one... However, this was only "back in the day" Most all macs anymore run fairly typical "PC" hardware. Now don't get me wrong, macs are very high quality work stations, but don't think it'll do much better than a nice PC.
