HELP!

I have a Acer Aspire One AO751h 11.6".

I haven't a clue what's happened, but recently, its lost its external monitor facility!!!

Went to hook up the VGA socket to my projector, pressed "Fn"+"F5" so as to toggle through to the appropriate option... But there's now only just the one! D.O.G icon comes up i.e. just for the laptop's inbuilt LCD screen!

I can only assume a recent automatic update has disabled it or somesuch, but ain't got a clue how to reinstate the ext. mon. facility/driver, or whatever?!

I desperately need it back, as I use - and enjoy! - this feature often!

Any help whatsoever, I'll be indebted...

you could try to uninstall the software and reinstall it, or update it. or just use similar function in windows from microsoft. Which OS, which GPU, (i looked at your laptop and it said it has Intels GPU if it does you could use intles control panel to connect to proje) Other wise make sure that the cable is connected and stays connected to the screen at both ends. restart you laptop sometimes if you have anything below Windows Vista then it requires a restart.
tell us if anything helped.

How do you use other methods (other than the Fn + F5) to for the laptop to 'see' my projector?

Even if I use the Intel Control Panel, that too has been changed to just single display (MID), whereas before it showed options of either single or external dsiaplys. As said, it looks like an automatic update has disabled the whole software feature - it's the only thing I can think of, as I've tried rebooting, reinstalling the graphics driver, etc, etc...
