Lost Files

Hi everyone.

I have a laptop which I had alot of photos and files on. I put a memory stick in to transfer all my files, pictures etc to a desktop and it has transferred all my files but only 1 file of photo's.

The photo's are not on the memory stick, the desktop nor the laptop.

does anybody know what has happened abd how I can get them back?

What do you mean, by one file of photos? Some sort of compressed file, such as a .zip file?

I put a file on my desktop named photos then put other files inside it about 8 different files with different photo's in them.

He's talking a directory with photo's.
What operating system you using. Home, Pro, or Ultimate?
32 bit or 64 bit?

How would I find out what system I have? I do know it is a windows.

Im guessing your using xp. maybe home.
goto start, right click computer, properties it will show specs.
there is a software section. (freeware). recovery. its there.
Maybe taking back to another date. Not sure though. im talking about
the operating system. Not your micro drive.
